That is very possible. It seems to me that the government, the taxpayers, and everyone involved would benefit from allowing the Giudices to just pay back the money with interest. Seize whatever property need be to satisfy what they owe. No one benefits from having Teresa locked up. Not the government, the taxpayer, her family, or even Bravo.

Bravo can give her a spin-off show, she can write another book, etc. We will all watch and support her. Whether people like Teresa or not, we watch her.

She and her family entertain us. She has also done a lot of good through her charity work. As I have stated earlier, she has brought Nephcure to the public eye. She has a celebrity personality and her children were born to shine. Was she paying the debts already? This may be the outcome and they may just need to pay the fines, if the pervious settlement has been satisfied or is still in good standing. Bionic, That is what I understood and had been reading over the past year or so.

I hope they have been making a true effort to repay. I am not an expert in this matter, but yes, I too agree the Government is more interested in getting their money that jail time. I have said this before….

Jeannie, I agree with you, for her it is a personal vendetta, wrong in the legal profession. I do believe Jac fed information to Kim G during her fits of boozing and blaming, she is very irrational. Not sure if Meho and Jogo are involved, maybe planted a seed here and there, but I will leave my judgment of them until more comes out. I am in the tax profession so I have seen numerous cases of mortgage fraud and unprepared taxes, maybe this is why I am not so harsh on the Guidices.

I also would like to know if they obtained the mortgages with no intention of ever paying them back or if, like many of my clients, felt they could sell the properties and pay back the loans while making a profit.

You can for me Gessie! I commented yesterday that I just kept remembering all that transpired in Season 4 and how they all turned on Teresa for lame reasons that made no sense. They kept bringing up her legal and financial troubles and made all their nasty comments, including them continuing with their lifestyle made by the Lauritas, Caroline Manzo, and the Whorgas.

The Lauritas made the most damaging comments, and I think it was intentional and relevant to this latest news. Everything she said and did last season, and so far this season have been deliberate and vindictive. I would like to know if any of the cast were contacted in the investigation, did any of them notify the Giudices or warn them?? None of us could figure out why the sudden anger and disdain for the Giudices last season and all the nasty comments, and now it seems that the puzzle pieces are falling into place.

The Giudices had to be aware of some of this through their lawyers, since filing and withdrawing their bankruptcy, so they had so much to deal with, more than we ever knew and then the whole cast turning on them and piling on. Can you imagine the amount of stress of all of that combined, the Giudices have been under? Yet, Teresa still tried to work things out, and keep a good attitude if only for her children.

I believe nothing that any of the cast say about being in a good place, is genuine. Perhaps, all of this drove the story line of making up this season: because we were going to find out what true low lives her friends and family were, especially after this news became public.

Once this news became public and us viewers recalled last season, we would put things together about the cast and how devious and despicable their behavior truly was. Truly despicable. Teresa put her named to fraudulent documents, many of them. She knew how much Bravo was paying her for Season Two. Others got hurt in this…. The only truly innocents here are the children, period.
