Who is duriel

After that, the players will be transported into an area filled with Hell Bovines — upright cows with halberds. One of them is the Cow King. The fight might look like a joke, but it's hazardous when underestimated since The Cow King has tons of immunities and has an Aura Enchanted. For many players stepping fresh into Act 4, Izual served as a big slap in the face and a DPS check for anyone too complacent with their builds.

If one's character hasn't killed Izual in ten seconds, then they're usually not ready for Hell, both the difficulty and the stage. Izual's life pool is so massive that he can tank through most attacks and deal enough damage to players in the process.

Most players will then stagger back into their portals to refill their potions or avoid Izual's shockingly heavy hits. Caster characters in Normal difficulty are at a disadvantage here. Diablo's siblings have somehow proven more effective and dangerous than him.

Baal is one of them, and he presented a rather serious threat to the Barbarian lands of Harrogath. He waged war against the land and even came close to taking Mount Arreat and the World Stone within. Baal can prove to be a tough battle, especially if players rely on melee combat. Still, many builds and classes can practically kill Baal off-screen with a competent setup.

Moreover, he's not really as big or imposing as his brothers. Mephisto isn't much in the lower difficulties or initial run of the campaign but later on, he becomes a pain to deal with.

He's located in Act 3 and is one of the most frightening bosses in the game due to his appearance and tactics. Mephisto can make quick work of hapless players with lightning, cold, and poison attacks. Ranged players often have difficulties facing Mephisto or his uber version because of his notorious skull missiles that can spell a quick death.

Some players even opt to swap gear when facing his uber version. There he is, the titular boss himself, and the main troublemaker of the series. The Diablo in Diablo 2 is a little different from the first game as he was a revived version of himself via vessel. The vessel is none other than the Warrior from the first Diablo game. Hence, all three of the original classes are somewhat present in the second game, lovely reunion. During the first encounter, Diablo is a ridiculous boss to deal with, as he can and has probably one-shot unprepared players, especially with that notorious lightning attack of his.

However, subsequent runs on higher difficulties and better gear make him a breeze. Nevertheless, that first impression fight makes him menacing. Andariel is also one of the lesser evils and the twin sister of Duriel.

She's located in Act 1 and serves as the end boss for that campaign phase. In terms of difficulty, she 's quite the menace thanks to her poison attacks and rather dark arena.

Andariel is a terrifying sight and can quickly drain players' rejuvenation potions, even if they're used to fighting uber bosses over and over again. When your hireling dies, try to escape with Town Portal and return.

If you have a powerful bow, you should be able to defeat him using about 5 Full Rejuvenation Potions. Barbarian : This class is powerful for fighting as melee combat. Just make sure to activate some healing potions and go back to town if you run out of Health points. Druid : If you rely on your summoning skill tree, you should keep alive your minions and your mercenary as long as possible. While your group is distracting the Boss, you can attack him using a Bow or some of your spells.

Necromancer : Make sure you have a Town Portal open as the battle starts. Then, you can spam your other spells from a safe distance. As a Summonmancer, you should keep your minions alive during the fight. If you and your minions run low on health, you can always return to Town to re-summon your team. Paladin : The most effective to kill Duriel as a Paladin is to use Zeal along with a freezing and life-leeching weapon.

The Holy Freeze Aura is very helpful too as its effect slows the Boss even more. Finally, keep some healing and mana potions at your belt ready for use. Sorceress : The key here is to equip your mercenary with a good spear and strong armor.

Also, you should try to keep him alive with healing potions because he will act as a tank. In the case your hireling dies, return immediately to the town through a Town Portal. As soon as players enter his chamber, they are confronted by Duriel and the only option of escape is Town Portal scrolls. As said before, Duriel's speed and freezing aura make it hard to outrun him, and the very small size of the chamber makes it difficult to keep away from him for more than a couple of seconds.

After the player kills Duriel the first time, on the second playthrough they can lure Duriel to the big chamber for more room to fight him. It's wise to bring as many minions as possible and a mercenary in order to buy you some time. Though it usually only takes a few swipes sometimes just one for Duriel to kill any minion or mercenary, it should at least give you enough time to open up a Town Portal. Using Cold attacks against Duriel will slow him down significantly. If possible, attack from range, though Barbarians, Paladins and other melee classes will probably have to face Duriel in close combat.

Duriel can also use Smite as an attack that stuns players and knocks them back, which can be quite annoying to deal with as he will sometimes chain the knockbacks together until you hit a wall and can not be knocked back any further. If he does, and if you somehow manage to survive the onslaught and are a melee character , it would be wise to stick close to the wall while fighting him.

Most classes will fight Duriel the way they would fight against any other monster. Necromancers and Sorceresses might have to take extra caution as at this stage of the game, your stats will be low in the areas required for heavy equipment.

Assassin's Burst of Speed ability makes an Assassin a more potent combatant against Duriel as with this ability activated, Assassins can usually outrun Duriel and perform hit-and-run tactics.

Coupled with a combination of Tiger Strike and Cobra Strike , players can heal themselves from Duriel's attacks. Assassins could also rely on traps and Burst of Speed, especially if the player will specifically build an Assassin class specialized in Traps.

After Duriel has been slain, the chamber will be violently shaken and explosions occur on all sides, illuminating the chamber. Some sort of maggots and snails appear from Duriel's torn body; they won't do any harm and can be squished underfoot. A wall collapses and players can move on to explore Tal Rasha's inner chamber. See Necromancer vs Duriel. Recruit a mercenary if the player hasn't already and open a Town Portal as soon as you enter the room. While your associate fights Duriel, make sure to be near enough and use Static Field to rapidly bring Duriel's health down, though the skill will become less efficient the lower his life gets.

Be sure also to give the hireling rejuvenation or healing potions to extend his time in combat, escaping to town when the mercenary is about to die. If a player provides the mercenary with a good spear and good armour, they may see Duriel go down at first attempt in Normal difficulty.

Also, it's good to have a few points invested in Static Field Many people have problems in facing Duriel at normal in solo mode, at level around, with Amazon with a bow. Hire an Act II Merc possibly the defensive one and use Full Rejuvenation potions to heal him you can farm Rejuvenation potions in easier levels and then cube them while you keep shooting Duriel from sufficient distance. As long as you are able to keep your merc alive, you can continue to shoot him.

If the mercenary dies, try to escape with Town Portal and come back again. If you have a really good bow, you should be able to do it with only Full Rejuvenation Potions.
